Home Office in Black/White

Source: A Merry Mishap

We believe every home benefits from its own office.  Whether you actually work from home (if you’re lucky), or just use it to get away from all the noise while you’re paying the bills.  Either way it’s still nice to have an organized and fun space set aside.  This week we wanted to show you this amazing office that makes use of the classic black & white color duo.

We love the white saw-horse desks and the tried and true chalk board.  This is a space that is great for adults but we think even kids would love the design.

The hanging shelf above the chalk board provides great out of the way storage for magazines, books, taxes, ongoing projects, etc.  Just add some of your favorite office supplies and you have a totally amazing space!

You can really customize it by adding lighting and a chair that will complete the space.  Vintage industrial lighting and furniture can easily be found on Craigslist, local thrift shops and even on Etsy.

In a space like this we would recommend items like these:

  • Oh sweet lord I love this. I need to beg my husband to re-do our spare bedroom like this. The chalk board would definitely come in handy.

  • Those look like Pottery Barn desks and they are so cool. I used to have them in my old office and they worked so well for me. I’m not sure what that silver ball thing is in the picture… a light maybe? Either way it’s cool!

  • This is exactly what I want my new office to look like. I love the vinea line of items, I’m definitely going to be getting them for my desk.
